NBCT Stipend Information

Just a reminder that information about National Board Certified Teacher stipends was e-mailed to superintendents across the state earlier this month.

The verification list for nationally board certified staff (teachers, librarians, counselors, school psychologists, speech language pathologists, and audiologists) employed in districts is now available online.

Administrators may access the list through the School District Reporting Site and the HQT system. District superintendents must approve each certified staff person individually. Once that step is complete, superintendents must then instruct certified personnel to access the Oklahoma Educator Credentialing System (OECS) and provide online verification. National Board Certified Career Tech teachers will be approved by the Oklahoma Career and Technology Education System. All approvals must be completed by May 1, 2012.

Upcoming TLE Framework Training

The State Department has received several inquiries regarding COSSA's upcoming Pre-Conference Seminar regarding TLE on June 6, 2012. While this presentation may be valuable to administrators as a precursor to the official TLE framework training, the one-day informational session hosted by COSSA will not count towards any portion of the State Department's required TLE framework training. Training on the TLE Frameworks paid for by the State Department will occur during the spring and summer of 2012.
