Blount St - Person St Corridor Study Header

On Monday October 22nd over 125 community members gathered to kick off the Blount Street- Person Street Corridor Study at the AIA NC Center for Architecture and Design. The crowd listened as Ed McKinney, project manager from AECOM introduced the project and gave background information about the corridors. Everyone then participated in small table discussions of their values, identifying what they’d like to keep and change, and their 100 year vision for the corridors. The project focuses on finding multi-modal transportation and streetscape design solutions. It will move into the second phase with a multi-day design workshop the week of December 10th.

Couldn’t make the October 22nd meeting but want to give the project team your input? Use the mapping on the project web page to identify Current Issues, Good Features or Future Ideas for the corridor. Your comments will be forwarded to the project manager for consideration.
