Bike & Stroll Minneapolis

This spring and summer, the Minneapolis Bicycling and Pedestrian Program is hosting over 40 rides, walks and classes to help you get back on the streets and trails. Whether you are looking to explore new bikeways in your neighborhood or trying to get the whole family riding, there is something for you. Our maintenance classes will get your bike ready to ride and our safety clinics will help you gain confidence when riding in traffic. For those looking to take a comfortable and gradual approach to staying active, our 55+ Walking and Biking Series is a perfect fit for you.

Bicycle Advisory Committee Seeking Applications

The Minneapolis Bicycle Advisory Committee is seeking applications for new representatives. The committee advises the Mayor and City Council on policies, programs, and actions for improving the city’s bicycling environment. One member is appointed by each City Council ward office, resulting in thirteen available seats. Seats may have incumbents seeking reappointment. The application deadline is Friday, April 13. Terms will begin on June 1, 2012 and last through May 31, 2014. Apply by following the instructions on the Bicycle Advisory Committee vacancy website.
