Hi Eagle fans!

Take a look at the attached photos to see who visited the nest this morning.  It was an absolutely beautiful immature bald eagle.  It hung out in the nest for a little while, then left.  We suspect this bird may be the chick from last year.  We will probably never know, for sure, because the birds are not banded.  Also, we were unable to access any data from the band read earlier on the adult eagle incubating.  We just could not read enough of the numbers to look up.

Some exciting news:  We (The Nongame Wildlife Program) have launched our Facebook page!  To see more photos of this morning's visitor and all kinds of photos from the field this week, visit: https://www.facebook.com/MinnesotaNongameWildlifeProgram

Also, keep tuned into the peregrine camera.  The four eggs should hatch by the end of this week.  We are so excited!

As always, thank you so much for your support.  Your donations dollars are hard at work studying, sustaining and improving the lives of so many Minnesota creatures!

Enjoy your spring!
