learn cnc machining at mott community college

If you're looking for a career that requires high tech skills and provides good pay with the promise of plenty of job opportunities, consider a career as a CNC machinist.

Computer Numerical Control (CNC) is a process for machining metal and plastic products using a computer program. The machines, typically a lathe or mill, are controlled by a computer.
Demand for CNC machinists in Michigan is significant; recently there were 250 CNC Machinist job postings on the Michigan Talent Bank career portal. Wages run from $12.00/hour for entry level workers to $26.00/hour for those with experience.
The Mott Community College Livingston Center is offering the 160-hour CNC Machining Program beginning Sept. 17. The program takes place Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm.

The program costs $2,800 which includes books and materials. You may qualify for a scholarship through the Michigan Works! Livingston Center, based on program requirements. Contact the Center at 517-546-7450 to determine your eligibility for funding.

To learn more about the program, visit the Mott Community College Livingston Center at 1240 Packard Dr. in Howell, or call (517) 552-2163.
