Click here to listen to Treasurer Poliquin yesterday morning on the George Hale and Ric Tyler Show, WVOM 103.9 FM.  Treasurer Poliquin highlights steps being taken to improve Maine's bond rating and economy.  "What we're trying to do is steadily, the best we can, get the pieces in place to turn this battleship in a different direction."

Also, be sure to read the Treasurer's Lewiston Sun Journal guest column, "Maine is Open for Business."  Treasurer Poliquin summarizes the state of the economy and budget changes aimed at fostering job creation.  "The new leadership in Augusta is changing state government's attitude toward business.  We're here to help, not get in the way.  Quality of life includes a paycheck."

(Mr. Poliquin's comments are as State Treasurer, not as a Trustee of the Maine Public Employees Retirement System.)
