Carroll County Recreation & Parks Advisory Board Openings
Westminster, MD, Monday, October 5, 2020 -The Carroll County Recreation & Parks Advisory Board has several upcoming openings and is looking for new members. In order to maintain countywide representation on the board, there is a specific need for applicants residing in District 3 (Westminster) and District 5 (Eldersburg). Ideally, having different perspectives and backgrounds on the Board contributes to new and diverse ideas, and provides valuable input with the goal of representing all residents of Carroll County.
The Advisory Board serves as a soundboard for Recreation & Parks staff, assists with the development of policies, reviews and prioritizes capital and self-help projects, and plays an active role in promoting Recreation and Parks efforts throughout Carroll County. The Advisory Board meets seven (7) times per year, on the 4thWednesday of the month, with most meetings held at 7:30pm in the County Office Building in Westminster.
