Mayor’s Christmas Parade in Hampden

 

 

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary street closures and parking restrictions that will be in effect for the Mayor’s Christmas Parade. The parade will be held in Hampden on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. 

 

The parade will begin at the intersection of Falls Road and Cold Spring Lane and will travel south along Falls Road, east on W. 36^th Street, north on Chestnut Avenue, west on W. 37^th Street and north on Elm Avenue where it will disband.

 

In preparation for the event, the following streets will be closed on Sunday, December 02, 2012:

• The Falls Road Exit (Exit 8) from the northbound Jones Falls Expressway from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. Motorists are advised to use the Northern Parkway exit.
• Falls Road from Hillside Road to W. 36^th Street from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m.
• W. 36^th Street from Falls Road to Chestnut Avenue from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m.

 

During the event, parking will be restricted along the parade route. In addition, temporary traffic stops may be implemented for the safety of participants. Motorists may encounter delays and are encouraged to exercise patience while driving.
