Baltimore Police Announce Arrest of Over 270 Suspects
Wanted on Priority Warrants

November 1, 2012 / Baltimore, MD - Today, members of the Baltimore Police Warrant Apprehension Task Force completed a week long warrant initiative which targeted suspects who had open arrest warrants and criminal histories of domestic violence, sexual assault, chilld abuse and armed robbery in Baltimore.

The prioritization and focus on these suspects was done at the direction of newly appointed Police Commissioner Anthony W. Batts who credited detectives for their hard work and swift action in bringing suspects to justice.

“The results of this warrant effort are a testament to the hard working men and women of the Baltimore Police Department who put their lives on the line each day to make this city safer,” said Batts. “We will continue our focus on improving public safety and targeting individuals who are responsible for committing acts of violence in our community”

Task Force members arrested more than 270 individuals during the initiative and served more than 50 warrants on suspects who were already in prison on unrelated charges.
