FAQ Corner

I want to open an ABLE account as soon as possible. What should I do?

Maryland ABLE will be open for enrollment this Fall. However, if you're looking to open your account sooner, there are 24 states with current ABLE plans, many of which accept national enrollment. Check with the ABLE National Resource Center (ANRC) to see key features of each state plan. This ANRC will also help you determine which states provide a cost-free rollover option that enables you to rollover your national account into a Maryland account when Maryland ABLE opens for enrollment.Remember- the Maryland state income tax deduction will only apply for Maryland residents contributing to a Maryland account!
