The Indiana Arts Commission became an agency of Indiana state government in the summer of 1969. When it did, Bobbie Garver became one of its first employees.
Since that time, the IAC has gone from awarding 42 grants in 1969 to more than 300 this year, and there have been very few IAC programs and services that Bobbie has not had some part in.
At the end of this month, Bobbie will retire after 44 years of service to the arts and citizens of our state. If you have a favorite Bobbie memory, we invite you to share it with us on our Facebook page. Join us in wishing Bobbie all the best, and thanking her for a lifetime commitment to the arts of Indiana.
