Seventy-four Hoosier Artists Applied for Career Development Grants

A total of 74 artists from across the state applied for the latest round of Individual Artist Program grants from the Indiana Arts Commission.

Eligible projects were proposed in the areas of dance, theatre, literature, music, and folk arts related to these traditional disciplines. Artists with disabilities were also encouraged to apply in the eligible disciplines.

A total of $77,000 will be available for grants in this grant cycle. Artists could request up to $2,000 for projects designed to advance their career development.

Grant review panels met through the early spring to review the proposals and their recommendations will be reviewed and considered by the IAC's Programs, Grants & Services Committee.

Final grant recommendations will be reviewed and acted upon at the Commission's June 21st Quarterly Business Meeting in Indianapolis.
