We Want to Know: Who Do You Think Deserves a Governor's Arts Award?

The Indiana Arts Commission is surveying public opinion for the 2013 Governor's Arts Awards.

The IAC has created a brief online survey where the public can suggest a potential nominee and give a brief statement why the nominee should be considered for the award.

The survey can be found on the home page of the IAC website at www.IN.gov/arts

"Although we always tend to receive between 50 and 60 new nominations each time we do this, we wanted to expand the search beyond our typical audience," said IAC Executive Director Lewis C. Ricci. "We also believe an informal survey would be less intimidating than the formal nomination form we have previously used.

From the survey results, the agency plans to conduct further research of the suggested nominees before calling for official nominations.

The Governor's Arts Awards program will be held in the fall of next year.
