Get to know your regional Analyst / Auditor!

Meet Chris Nevels, the regional Real Estate Analyst for the Southwest region.

Nevels

"I started at IHCDA about a year ago as the System & Data Specialist before taking over as a Production Analyst in April. I’m originally from Alabama and attended the University of Alabama where I studied political science and English. I then moved to Bloomington to attended law school at IU. I volunteered at the Shalom HELP Legal Clinic where I provided consultation to Bloomington’s homeless community. After graduation, I joined a firm in northwest Indiana. Eventually, I realized I was not passionate about insurance defense litigation so I left the firm and moved to Indianapolis. I decided I wanted to continue working in a field where I could truly help people - even if it was not through legal means. After two years at a local non-profit, I took advantage of a new opportunity and began working at IHCDA."
