DEP TO HOLD PUBLIC WORKSHOP ON DRAFT INTERIM OPERATION AND FACILITIES PLAN FOR THE SILVER SPRINGS ATTRACTION

~Public comment will be accepted on the draft plan ~

OCALA  – The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Florida Park Service will host a public comment meeting 7 p.m. Jan. 14 to gather community input on the Draft Interim Operation and Facilities Plan for the Silver Springs Attraction and potential future management of the Silver Springs attraction as a state park. The meeting will be held in the cafeteria at Vanguard High School.

The Florida Park Service is seeking community input as a result of ongoing discussions with Palace Entertainment on future land management opportunities at Silver Springs Attraction.
