DEP, LOCAL OFFICIALS TO ANNOUNCE MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR RESTORATION PLAN IN CENTRAL FLORIDA

~DEP Secretary Herschel T. Vinyard Jr. to make major announcement in Sanford on Thursday~

TALLAHASSEE –Florida Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Herschel T. Vinyard Jr. will make a major announcement regarding restoration efforts on a network of local waterbodies Thursday in Sanford.

At the event, more information will be available about a collaboration between the Department, six city governments, two county governments and four state and regional government agencies on a basin management action plan boosted by a multi-million dollar commitment.

Officials from several of the agencies and governments will make comments on the plan, the efforts of all the stakeholders involved and the environmental benefits that will be achieved as a result of the partnership.
