DEP’s NORTHEAST DISTRICT OFFICE RELOCATES
~Jacksonville office saves money by relocating~
JACKSONVILLE – The Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Northeast District Office today completed relocation to a new office after a week of moving, still within Jacksonsville city limits.
By reducing the square footage of office space by 10 percent, the District will save approximately $1.9 million in rent costs over the next 10 years.
The office consists of more than 100 staff members that provide permitting and compliance services for a wide range of activities in the 20 counties of the District, which include Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Dixie, Duval, Flagler, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Levy, Madison, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns, Suwannee, Taylor and Union counties.
