DEP SOUTHEAST DISTRICT TO HOLD MANGROVE TRIMMING PRESENTATION SERIES

~Presentations focus on the benefits of mangroves, as well as trimming guidelines~

WEST PALM BEACH - The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Southeast District will host a series of presentations about mangroves, a unique tree native to Florida's environment. Learn how to identify the different species and how they benefit our environment and local economy. If you have mangroves growing along your shoreline, learn about the Mangrove Protection Act and how to legally trim the mangroves.
