STATE PARK TO HOST LOW TIDE BIKE RIDE

Anastasia State Park

Visitors enjoy outdoor recreation on Anastasia State Park's sandy beach.


ST. AUGUSTINE- The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Anastasia State Park will host a “Low Tide Bike Ride” to promote healthy lifestyles.
Visitors can experience a great cardiovascular workout on one of the most remarkable beaches in Florida. This Ranger-led event will start with a 3.5-mile, low tide bike ride and bird watch where participants will enjoy an ecology chat at Conch Island, the northern most point of the park, before making the return trip. Riders should be prepared for any weather condition at the beach.
This program is free with paid park admission. Meet a Park Ranger at Island Joe’s pavilion, located inside the park, 15 minutes prior to the event. Bring at least one pint of water, bicycle, snack, binoculars and sunscreen. Bike rentals are available at Island Beach Store and Grill located within the park.
It is the goal of Anastasia State Parks to provide access for people of all abilities. If you have any special needs, please contact park staff at (904) 461-2033 before your arrival. Accessible parking is provided throughout the park.
