DEP NORTHEAST DISTRICT TO HOLD MARINA COMPLIANCE ASSISTANCE WORKSHOP

~Workshop focuses on marina safety measures, regulations and best management practices~


JACKSONVILLE - The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Northeast District will be conducting a Marina Compliance Assistance Workshop, focusing on environmental issues that affect the marine industry. Topics include vessel pressure washing and containment of industrial wastewater, awareness of hazardous waste generation, proper disposal and record keeping and the permitting requirements of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES).
All marina, boatyard or retail marine owners and staff members, as well as anyone interested in the Florida Clean Marina Program or Clean Vessel Act grants, are invited to attend this free, half-day event.
