KENWOOD TEMPORARY BOAT RAMP CLOSED

-Temporary boat ramp no longer accessible as Rodman Reservoir refills from drawdown-

PALATKA – The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway has closed the temporary boat ramp at Kenwood Landing due to rising water levels. The temporary boat ramp was put in operation to enable access to the Rodman Reservoir during the drawdown period.
The refilling of the reservoir has begun but due to record low flow levels in the Ocklawaha and Silver rivers, it is anticipated that it will take approximately two to three weeks before the permanent boat ramp at Kenwood becomes usable.
This closure will take place beginning:

Friday, March 23, 2012
