ALACHUA – Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Secretary Herschel T. Vinyard Jr. will join stakeholders Monday, March 5 at a ceremony to applaud the work of the Santa Fe Basin Management Action Plan working group on its development of a plan to restore and protect the Santa Fe River.

Invited attendees include: Richard J. Budell, Director of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ Office of Agricultural Water Policy; Donald J. Quincey, Jr., Suwannee River Water Management District Governing Board Chair and current President of the Florida Cattleman’s Association; Kevin Morgan, Florida Farm Bureau and Carlos Suarez, Natural Resources Conservation Service.
Easiest access will be off of I-75 on Hwy 236 going east. Head northeast on Co Rd 236 toward NW 173rd St/Co Rd 235A. Turn left onto NW 122nd St. Then turn right onto NW 278 Ave. Destination will be on the right.
