Online Services Just for You!

Skip the Trip

If you have received a parking, photo enforcement, or minor moving violation ticket, you can submit your ajudication request online, if you believe the ticket was issued in error. When doing so, be sure to upload supporting documentation. For example, if your vehicle is different than the make and model identified on the ticket, submit your current vehicle registration. Remember, DMV adjudicates tickets and does not issue them. Therefore, it's important to provide documentation that shows you are not in violation of the ticket issued.

DC DMV has more than 40 online and mail services. Visit the website at www.dmv.dc.gov. It's available daily from 6am-11:59pm, making it accessible to customers outside of the agency's regular business hours. "Skip the Trip." No lines online.

Click It or Ticket

DC DMV is supporting the District's Department of Transportation and Metropolitan Police Department in educating drivers about Click It or Ticket. Enacted in 1997, the seatbelt law allows police to stop a vehicle if the driver and/or passengers are not wearing a seatbelt properly. All passengers in the front and back seats are required to be buckled up at all times. Failure to do so can result in a $50 fine and two points on your license. Wear your seatbelt and help the District in its TowardsZeroDeaths initiative where no traffic accident death is acceptable.

THIS Diplomat Event

On May 1, 2013 at the Meridian House in Northwest, DC, DMV Associate Director Gabriel Robinson spoke to a group of diplomat family members and staff about driving in the District of Columbia. Robinson provided attendees with an overview of the agency's driver, vehicle, and adjudication services, as well as answered questions about parking permits, teen drivers, and adjudicating tickets.

The event was hosted by THIS for Diplomats, an organization dedicated to helping diplomats and their families adjust to life in the United States.
