Call for Director of Programs and Events Nominations (deadline extended to 5/31)
YGL-B is currently seeking an enthusiastic member to serve on the YGL-B Executive Board as the Director of Programs and Events. If you are interested, or wish to nominate a friend or colleague, please see below for details regarding the position and nomination process. Any questions may be directed to bethesda@younggov.org.
Position Description:
The Director of Programs and Events works with members to organize a variety of social events, professional development and networking activities, service opportunities, and other events.
Nomination Process:
To nomination yourself, send an email by Friday, May 31 to bethesda@younggov.org including a brief biographical statement and a few sentences on why you are interested in serving as the Director of Programs and Events.
Or, to nominate someone else, send an email to bethesda@younggov.org, providing the name and email address of the person you are nominating. Upon receipt of your email we will notify the nominee and, if they accept, request a statement from them.
Bio-Med Book Club Dinner Discussion (6/10)
Join the Bio-Med Book Club on June 10, 2013 to discuss Blood Work: A Tale of Medicine and Murder in the Scientific Revolution by Holly Tucker. Whether you’ve read the book or are just interested in the topic, come on out for what’s sure to be an interesting discussion!
