November Happy Hour and Hurricane Sandy Relief Fundraiser (11/29)

Catch up with YGL-B friends, and meet the new YGL-B Executive Board over drinks at Tommy Joe's. We will also be collecting donations to support the American Red Cross' Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

When: Thursday, November 29th, 5:30pm-7:30pm

Where: Tommy Joe's, 4714 Montgomery Lane, Bethesda, MD (closest Metro station: Bethesda) (Directions)

What: Great drink specials and 1/2 price select appetizers. Tommy Joe's also has trivia night on Thursdays starting at 7:30pm!

Register today for NextGen+ DC (12/6)

NextGen+ is an extension of the OPM-approved Next Generation of Government Training Summit. These added half-day trainings provide sessions that are jam packed with information focused on educating, inspiring and training emerging government leaders to further enhance their day-to-day career and the betterment of government overall.

Take advantage of the additional NextGen training, keep the knowledge flowing, and touch base with even more Gen X and Y’ers in government.

The first half day training session is taking place in DC on 12/6 from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM with a networking social to follow. Registration for this training session costs $95. Click here to register!

 

Bio-Med Book Club Dinner Discussion (12/10)

Join the Bio-Med Book Club on December 10 to discuss The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer by Siddhartha Mukherjee.  Whether you’ve read the book or are just interested in the topic, come on out for what’s sure to be an interesting discussion!

When: Monday, December 10, 2012, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
