grind, we hope you’ll join us in taking some time out, and giving back to the
community this weekend! Join us as we
partner with Greater DC Cares in the 9/11 National Day of Service &
Remembrance. You can still register
and be part of our team. So YGL-B, let’s come together to lend a hand!
9/11 National Day of Service (9/8)
When: Saturday, September 8, 2012, 9:00am - 1:00pm
Where: Our
project will be with the National Park Service at the Frederick Douglass
Historic Site. 1411 W St SE, Washington,
D.C. 20020 (Nearest metro: Anacostia—see map)
What: Volunteers will paint a wrought
iron fence to create a more presentable and defined space for residents to
enjoy.
Why: To rekindle the spirit of service that emerged after the tragedy of September 11.

welcomed to help cover supplies and programming costs for the day.

Happy Hour to Support the NIH Charities (9/20)
YGL-B
will be partnering once again with Special Love and the Friends of the
Clinical Center for a Fall fundraiser. Come celebrate the season and
catch up with your friends while supporting an important cause!
When: Thursday, September 20, 2012, 5:00pm-7:00pm

Cost:
Tickets are $20 - includes appetizers, a raffle ticket (you can buy
more) and your first draft beer or house wine; only $3 for additional
drafts and house wine. Tickets can be purchased in advance from R&W
Stores and will be available the day of at the door.

Bio-Med Book Club Dinner Discussion (10/8)
