PG&E work on Sand Hill Road Pipeline Replacement shifting back to days as of 10.4.12
MENLO PARK, CA -- PG&E, which began a 24” gas pipeline replacement project on the westbound side of Sand Hill Road between Sand Hill Circle and Branner Drive on August 14, will be resuming daytime construction activities as of Thursday, October 4.
According to City Public Works Director Chip Taylor, PG&E is finishing up their work on Sand Hill Road near Hwy 280 and is ready to get back to the day work near Branner Drive. PG&E’s Contractor, US Pipeline, will resume daytime (9am – 3pm) construction on Sand Hill Road between Branner Drive and Saga Lane and will continue to work days until they reach Saga Lane, at which time they will switch back to night work for the portion of the pipeline between Saga Lane and the Rosewood Hotel. This schedule causes less night-time noise disruption as work continues through the residential area. Day work is expected to last approximately two weeks.
“We’re hoping area residents will plan accordingly,” said Mr. Taylor, as traffic delays area anticipated.
Questions about the project should be directed to Joe Molica at PG&E at (415)973-5930.
