Social Security Site Now Mobile-Friendly

The Social Security Administration recently announced the release of a new mobile-friendly site. The site, Social Security.gov, now offers people using smartphones or other devices the ability to access and navigate information more efficiently.

New I-9 Form Available for Use By Employers

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) released the new Form I-9 for immediate use by all employers. Some of the new features include:

  • Form I-9 has gone from one to two pages.
  • Expanded instructions for better understanding.

The new form and the updated Handbook for Employers, Guidance for Completing Form I-9 is available online at I-9 Central and USCIS. See the press release.

Visit I-9 Central for more information on Form I-9.

PERS and TRS Handbooks Available Online

PERS and TRS Information Handbooks are available online. Since the Division no longer prints the handbooks for distribution, it is important to share these links with employees on a regular basis. The information in the handbooks is valuable and clearly explains the PERS (Tier I, II, and III) and TRS (Tiers I and II) programs for employees.

Email or call (800) 821-2251, statewide or (907) 465-4460, in Juneau to request hard copies of handbooks.
