 The Council’s new vision, ‘Havering – making a Greater London’, was agreed at the Council Tax meeting on 22 February.
Andrew Blake-Herbert, Chief Executive of Havering Council said: "The vision is about embracing the best of what Havering has to offer, and how we as a borough can play an active role in the success of the whole of London."
Councillor Roger Ramsey, the Leader of the Council, said: "Havering is one of London’s big opportunity areas, with fantastic communities, places, opportunities and connections and these are the four themes that the vision is focused on."
Their views were echoed by the Deputy Mayor of London for Planning, Regeneration and Skills, Jules Pipe, said:"With its excellent transport links into central London, extensive town centre regeneration and the highest concentration of green space anywhere in London, Havering has a unique offer as a place to live, work and visit.
"By making the most of its position and opportunities, Havering is becoming a hub for start-ups and expanding businesses, as well as construction, logistics, engineering and manufacturing industries."
More customers, more revenue, more profits!
 The Havering Business Network meets again on Thursday to discuss how to increase sales and grow a business.
Andy Linnet, the CEO of Pro-Actions Business Coaching & Support Ltd, will be sharing tips and advice on how to improve sales to win more business at the free event.
Havering Council will also discuss the proposed Local Plan, which identifies how land will be used and determines what will be built and where. Businesses will have an opportunity to input into the Local Plan and hear some of the initiatives being proposed to build, attract and retain businesses.
The Havering Business Networking event is taking place on Thursday 2 March from 5.30pm to 8.30pm at the Church of the Good Shepherd Church Hall, 3 Redriff Road, Collier Row, Romford RM7 8HD.

 The Department for Work and Pensions named and shamed over 350 employers who have failed to pay workers the National Living or Minimum wage. Don't get caught out!
Employers should remember that the National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage is going up on 1 April. Check you are paying your employees correctly and be aware of the law for not paying the right wage.
