Samsung Solve for Tomorrow State Contest Winner

Vancouver Public Schools was named a State Winner in the 2015 Samsung Solve for Tomorrow contest and earned a minimum of $20,000 in Samsun technology. The entry was chosen for its innovative approach to advancing interest in STEM among the students as well as making an impact in the community. Congratulations!

The district will now go on to represent the state in the national competition to have the opportunity to earn a larger technology package of $35,000 or $120,000 and a chance to present and compete with other schools in March. If the Vancouver Public Schools is chosen as one of the five National winners, they will be invited to attend an awards ceremony in Washington D.C.

Washington CTSO Council Logo Design Contest

The Washington Coordinating Council for Career & Technical Student Organizations (WCC-CTSO) is a coalition of Washington State Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) serving career and technical education students and teachers in one or more of the 16 Career Clusters® identified in The National Career Clusters® Framework. The eight member associations are Washington DECA, Washington FBLA, Washington FCCLA, Washington FFA, Washington HOSA, SkillsUSA Washington, Washington TSA, and Washington CTSMA.

As the council works to have one common voice for CTSO’s and CTE Students in the State of Washington a unifying logo is needed for a variety of promotional purposes. The Council is seeking designs for this logo that will represent the member organizations. Any CTSO member in the Washington state is eligible to participate in this contest.

The deadline for all designs is January 20, 2015.
