As we reach the peak growing season in Washington State, farmers are looking to sell their fresh products to schools and other summer meals programs.
Join OSPI and WSDA to learn how you can connect with farmers in your region to buy local products to help meet your needs for your summer meals programs and for the start of the school year.

The USDA has released several waivers that extend through the summer, as well as some extending through June 2021.
Please visit the OSPI Nutrition & Meals Guidance webpage, under the Important Updates header, to review any of these waivers.
Anticipated plans for your Summer Food Service Program operation may change after you have completed your summer meals application and submitted the Electronic Application Checklist.
If details of your service change you must communicate updates of your meal distribution plan and waivers. This survey is crucial for those needing to find summer meal sites.
OSPI makes the information provided from your WINS application and the electronic application checklist available to the community.

- Calendar Start/end dates
- Changes to Average Daily Attendance
- Adding sites-contact your specialist to do this
Possible Meals Distribution Plan and Waiver updates may include:
- Use of the area eligibility waiver
- Changing days of meal distribution
- Providing more than one meal at a time
- Providing multiple days' worth of meals
