If your organization did not operate SFSP in summer 2019, your organization must participate in the SFSP preapproval webinar.
This webinar will help us ensure your program is ready to operate the SFSP before we approve your application for the program.
At least one lead administrator from each new sponsoring organization must participate in the webinar and complete a short phone interview. Completing these steps will ensure you have everything you need to operate the program successfully.
Register Here Date: Thursday, June 4, 2020 Time: 1 - 2pm PT
Your individual phone interview will be scheduled following your participation in the webinar.

We are working through School Districts in alphabetical order and are currently in the “M” section!
Earlier this year, we announced that OSPI CNS would be releasing an updated Permanent Agreement for Child Nutrition Programs. We started this process by working with school districts in alphabetical order. New sponsors are automatically sent the electronic version.
The Superintendent and Food Service Director from each district will receive an email from DocuSign containing the agreement. Please note that each district’s Superintendent is the required signer, and Food Service Directors (as identified in WINS) will be copied for informational purposes only. Thank you for your patience!
If you're wondering what the Permanent Agreement is or what to expect with this update, we recorded a webinar for you to watch at your convenience.

The USDA granted a nationwide waiver for the on‐site portion of the site review in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). However, sponsors are still required to conduct their site reviews off‐site to the maximum extent practicable.
The goal of the site review is to ensure that sites are operating in compliance with federal regulations.
OSPI CNS created the SFSP site review form for sponsors completing reviews during unanticipated school closures and is meant to be used during a desk audit of the site. This form can be found on the SFSP Program Materials and Required Documents webpage.

While completing your Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) training requirements, you may see reminders like the one pictured above about training certification.
This was an additional step to the application approval process a couple summers ago for the SFSP. We have since streamlined the process and now you complete your certification when you complete your Online Application Checklist.

Who else can provide summer meals?
Any school district can serve summer meals to kids at any school or site where 50% or more of the children living in the area qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. This can be determined using school data or census data.
