On October 15, 2015, Lynnwood detectives received a phone call from a Santa Clara Transit Police Officer who had located Mr. Davis’ stolen vehicle and had the driver detained. It was determined the driver of the stolen vehicle was the suspect Lynnwood detectives had developed in this homicide. Lynnwood detectives flew to California shortly after the phone call to interview the suspect.

Detectives worked with the Snohomish County Prosecutor’s Office to obtain an arrest warrant for the suspect, identified as Christopher Garcia Gonzalez, who is described as a 23 year old Hispanic male from the San Jose area. The arrest warrant was issued today for $1,000,000 for the charges of Murder in the 2nd Degree and Theft of a Motor Vehicle.
