RE: Edmonds Community College Incident
The Lynnwood Police Department has received numerous requests for information in regards to this incident. Below are the details of the incident that we are prepared to release:
On May 2, 2015 at approximately 11:00 PM the victim was walking alone in the parking lot of the Edmonds Community College. The victim was attacked by a 20’s year old male, who had dark skin. During the assault the victim was injured with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect fled on foot.
The Lynnwood Police Department remains in contact with Edmonds Community College about this incident. A Lynnwood Detective is actively working this investigation; no suspect has been identified at this time. The victim is cooperative. The victim and the victim’s family do not want to be contacted about this incident. The Lynnwood Police Department is working to fully support the victim through this difficult time. We request that the victim’s privacy request be honored. If we develop information that relates to the safety of the general public or if the investigation results in charges we will provide an update.
We do not have any information to indicate that this incident is related to any other crimes in the area.
