CEH First Annual Conference

Annual Conference

On June 27th, over 130 community members gathered in Georgetown for CEH’s first Annual Conference. The daylong event served as a chance for CEH to collect input from representatives of the full spectrum of homeless services and advocates in King County on how to work towards making the experience of homelessness in our community rare, brief and one-time.

Participants—who represented providers, housing developers, non-profits, faith-based groups, philanthropy, and persons currently experiencing homelessness— rotated through three discussion groups and ratified CEH’s Charter. The day was driven by community conversations and attendees engaged in lively debates ranging from how our community can best tailor services for different sub-populations to opportunities to align homeless resources with mainstream services.

For more on CEH’s strategies and goals, read our Annual Report here.

Family Homelessness Initiative System Realignment

CEH’s Family Homelessness Initiative stands at a critical juncture. Our community is undertaking a comprehensive approach to updating the family homelessness system in order to right-size existing system resources. This process is intended to ensure that our system has the right type and number of interventions to match our local typology of homeless families.
