Transit Alert - Metro's Spring Service Revisions & Presidents Day Transit Service

King County Metro Transit’s Spring service revisions begin Saturday,
February 15.

In addition to Metro’s service change, on Monday, February 17, Metro
and King County will observe Presidents Day. Most King County and
Metro business offices will be closed, however Metro operates a regular
weekday schedule that day with the exception of some service reductions
associated with the University of Washington being closed for the holiday.

Spring service revisions include Metro’s launch of the RapidRide E Line,
which replaces Route 358 with faster and more frequent service between
downtown Seattle and the Aurora Village Transit Center via the Aurora
Avenue corridor; a revised Third Avenue stop pattern in downtown Seattle
for routes 17 Express to Sunset Hill and 18 Express to North Beach, and
relatively minor stop, terminal, routing or schedule revisions on Metro routes
8, 17, 18, 28, 49, 50, 60, 64, 65, 82 Night Owl, 83 Night Owl, 84 Night Owl,
156, 159, 200, 237, 280 Night Owl, 311, 312, 342, 372, 952 and the
RapidRide D Line, and Metro-operated Sound Transit Express routes
ST 522, ST 542 and ST 545.

Metro encourages riders to review and revise their Transit Alert subscriptions
as necessary.

Metro updates its routes and schedules three times a year to improve service and
address the changing needs of transit customers, while operating within budget.
The revisions that begin on February 15 come as Metro and King County continue
to work to find new sustainable revenue sources in order to avoid future service
reductions. 

The Spring revisions are available in new teal timetables and a Rider Alert
brochure, available on buses and at information racks, or by calling Metro’s
Customer Information phone line at 206-553-3000.
 
The new timetables are also posted on Metro Online and in Metro’s online
Trip Planner when a date of February 15 or later is used in a query to find
a route, find a stop, find a schedule, track your bus or plan a trip.
