Regional Trail Alert - Cedar River Trail closure coming Feb. 18-19 to repair damaged bridge

King County will make important safety repairs to a damaged bridge that carries the Cedar River Trail over the Cedar River near Maple Valley, requiring a two-day closure of the bridge and trail. On Feb. 18-19, the trail will be closed near Lower Dorre Don Way as crews repair a damaged handrail and replace a concrete deck panel on the 268-foot-long structure. There will be no detour route for this closure.

More information on this project is available by contacting Jason Rich, Project Manager, at 206-477-4582  or jason.rich@kingcounty.gov.

The Cedar River Trail stretches 17.3 miles from the river’s mouth at Lake Washington upstream to Landsburg, at the boundary of the City of Seattle’s Cedar River Watershed. Learn more about King County Parks’ Regional Trail System at http://www.kingcounty.gov/parks.
