ERDC

New ERDC Leadership

Katie Weaver Randall joined the ERDC as the Director on November 16th. Katie joins us from her previous role as Director of Student Information at Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. This is her third tour at ERDC, where she previously spent time as part of our research team working in the areas of early learning and K12. She was trained as a Community Psychologist so she has a systems perspective that encompasses community, social, and historical contexts. When she's not thinking about how to support the ERDC team, reaching out to our stakeholders, or digging into data and education policy, she can be found in the mountains or on the water having big and small adventures with her family.

2021 Highlights & Accomplishments

2021 was another eventful year for the ERDC! Our list of accomplishments for the year includes:

  • Completed our FY15 federal SLDS grant and launched our research projects for the FY19 SLDS grant.
  • Published 12 new research reports related to educational outcomes in Washington.
  • Fulfilled over 30 aggregate and individual level data requests to state agencies and researchers.
  • Made great strides in our process improvement efforts, including updates to data dictionaries and our data fulfillment process.
  • Continued to support initiatives around Career Connected Learning, STEM education, Dual Credit, and the Workforce Investment Oversight and Accountability board.

We look forward to expanding on this work and continued collaboration with our partners in 2022!
