Senate Bill 5672
Please join DSHS for a facilitated Zoom meeting to share the outcomes of our stakeholder sessions related to the legislature’s 2019 SSB 5672, which stated:
Related to DDA: “…the developmental disabilities administration within the department shall work with stakeholders to design and implement services for individuals living in adult family homes who have a primary need of care related to a developmental or intellectual disability.”
Related to HCS: “…the aging and long-term support administration within the department shall work with stakeholders to design and implement proposed services for individuals living in adult family homes that are dedicated solely to the care of individuals with dementia, including Alzheimer's disease.”
As a reminder, these sessions took place in September and October of 2019. At that time, we gathered your valuable input, and thank you again for participating in the sessions.
Now, we want to meet with you over Zoom to:
- Provide an overview of the work conducted as part of SB 5672
- Review the recommendations provided to DSHS leadership
- Share the actions related to recommendations
- Share how recommendations may be used to shape future policy
Things to note about the Zoom meetings:
- The content will be the same for both dates
- There is a limit of 500 people per session
