I-5, SR 167 and SR 516 lane and ramps close overnight Sept. 22-26 in south King County

KING COUNTY – Several lanes and ramps on Interstate 5 and State Routes 167 and 516 will close nightly, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 22, to Friday morning, Sept. 26, in south King County for maintenance.

Closure details

  • From 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, the SR 516 ramp to southbound SR 167 in Kent will close.
  • From 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, the two right lanes of southbound SR 167 just south of Ellingson Street (milepost 13) in Algona will close.
  • From 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, to 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, the southbound I-5 off-ramp to 320th Street in Federal Way (milepost 145) will close.
  • From 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 26, the right lane of northbound I-5 and the off-ramp to 272nd Street (milepost 146) in Federal Way will close. 

The nightly closures will allow Washington State Department of Transportation maintenance crews to safely repair the road surface.
