Recycling Education Requirements

Businesses and multi-family properties are required to educate their tenants and employees on what recyclables their property accepts.

Our website has helpful resources for your Recycling System Inspection. We also have an all-new Recycling System Toolkit, which contains all the information needed to make sure your recycling system is up to code. 

The toolkit features educational materials to help you comply with Arlington County Code Section 10-35. You can print these materials and signs then post them in recycling rooms, lunch/lounge rooms or any area including a recycling container. In addition to downloadable signs, the toolkit features: a list of certified haulers, how to guides, a Spanish Glossary of recycling terms and more.
