Paving on Army Navy Drive
Paving on Army Navy Drive between 12th Street South and South Joyce Street began this week and will continue through Oct. 24 (weather permitting). Work on the section of South Eads Street to 12th Street will be completed tonight and will then transition to South Eads and South Joyce Street. Paving is primarily taking place at night, between 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., in an effort to get the work completed promptly and to minimize traffic disruption.

Installing New Lane Markings on Crystal Drive
With the repaving of Crystal Drive complete, crews have begun installing the new lane markings. This work will continue through the weekend, during the daytime, and will involve rolling road closures. If night work occurs, noise should be minimal, with occasional truck backup alarms and leafblowers.
ART Bus Facility
Installation of utilities (including electrical and storm drain) on the Route 1 side of the construction site is complete - night work is no longer taking place at this time. Installation of the onsite storm drain system will begin later this month. Crews are currently working to remove contaminated and unsuitable soils and are in the process of grading the south lot.

Crystal City Potomac Yard Transitway
Transitway construction activities for Saturday, Oct. 17 through Friday, Oct. 23 are described in this week's construction update. Crews are not scheduled to work on Saturday, Oct. 17.

Detours/Lane Closures
The following lane closures are due to construction for the Crystal City Potomac Yard Transitway and Crystal City Multimodal Center.
Crystal Drive:
- Between 20th and 23rd Streets - Northbound right lane closed. Access to driveways remains open.
- From U.S. Route 1 up to 26th Street South - Parking and right lanes closed.
18th Street South:
- Inside lanes on each side of the street are closed between South Eads and Bell Streets. No on-street parking or charter bus parking available in this area.
- Bike lane closed under Route 1 bridge.
South Clark/Bell Streets:
- Traffic at 18th Street intersection limited to right turns only.
- Right lane closed between 20th and 23rd Streets, and between 23rd and 26th Streets.
Route 1: Northbound right turn lane closed between South Glebe Road and Crystal Drive.
