Repaving of Crystal Drive Starts This Weekend

Before the Crystal City Potomac Yard Transitway opens, the County will repave Crystal Drive between 15th and 26th Streets. The paving is scheduled to begin this weekend - starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 9 (weather permitting) - and will last for several weeks.

Some milling and paving operations will be performed at night, between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m., to reduce the impact on traffic, and lanes will be closed to traffic during this work. The repaving will begin at 15th Street and then head south toward 26th Street.

  • Residents should keep an eye out for temporary “No Parking” signs, which will be posted on the street a minimum of two days before the start of work.
  • Once signs are posted, the street must be cleared of all parked vehicles by parking in a garage, driveway or on an adjoining street. Failure to do so may result in your vehicle being towed. If your vehicle is towed, contact the Arlington County Police Department at (703) 558-2222.

Visit street maintenance for more information. If you have questions about this work, contact the Customer Call Center at (703) 228-6570.
