Nighttime I-395 Ramp Closure at Washington Blvd. on Aug. 2-3

In the overnight hours on Sunday and Monday, Aug. 2-3, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close the ramp from I-395 North to Washington Boulevard, at Exit 8A, for paving and lane striping. The ramp will close at 9 p.m. each night, and will reopen by no later than 5 a.m. the following morning.

Motorists are urged to use caution and follow the signed detour. This work is weather dependent, with Aug. 3-4 as backup nights.

The ramp is part of the Route 27/244 Interchange Project, which is replacing the Washington Boulevard Bridge over Columbia Pike.
