Veterans Reporting Scam Phone Calls
We've had reports that Veterans have received calls from someone claiming to work for VA. The person states they are going to go to the Veteran's home to give them a COVID-19 (Corona Virus) shot. These calls ARE NOT from VA.
VA IS NOT entering our Veterans homes right now unless a VA physician deems it clinically necessary, usually in urgent situations. At this time, a shot for COVID-19 does not exist. VA will NEVER ask you for your bank account information over the phone. We have referred this scam to our police department to investigate. Please be vigilant and protect your personal information, and remind your loved ones to do the same. Consider forwarding this email to other Veterans you know and their family members.
