3rd Quarter FY 2013 - Third Party Lender Loans

For the third quarter of fiscal year 2013 (April 1 – June 30, 2013), Certified Development Companies (CDCs) provided nearly $18.4 million in SBA's 504 loan program funding which supported 26 third-party lender loans totaling nearly $23.7 million to 25 eastern Missouri-based businesses.

Change of Ownership Transactions

On July 1, 2013 the SBA issued SBA Information Notice 5000-1278. This Information Notice announces a revision to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) 50 10 5(E) regarding the structure for change of ownership transactions involving the purchase of stock or partnership or membership interests.

SBA Holds Successful Lender & Borrower Training in Columbia

On Wednesday, July 31, 2013 SBA participated in two successful training events in Columbia, Missouri. Training was provided to 15 commercial loan officers in the morning and 18 small business owners in the afternoon. Both sessions were free. District Director Dennis Melton gave an overview of SBA and its programs & services, Lender Relations Specialist Tom Daiber talked about SBA’s loan programs, and Senior Area Manager Bob Newman discussed SBA’s export finance programs and other international trade assistance.  The event was hosted by Regional Economic Development, Inc., Missouri Small Business & Technology Development Center (SBTDC) and Enterprise Development Corporation. The event will be held quarterly at the SBTDC, 500 East Walnut, Columbia, Missouri.
