Happy National Women’s Checkup Day and National Women’s Health Week! Celebrate by scheduling your annual well-woman visit.

What is a well-woman visit? It’s a checkup and a time to see your health care provider to:

• Discuss your family history, family planning, and personal habits, such as alcohol and tobacco use.
• Get or schedule necessary tests, such as screenings for high blood pressure and cholesterol.
• Set health goals, such as maintaining a healthy weight.
