You Can Help Fight HIV/AIDS Among Women and Girls

Mark your calendar! March 10, 2013, is National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. Please join this nationwide movement to raise awareness of the issues surrounding HIV/AIDS among women and girls.

HIV/AIDS doesn’t discriminate, but women of color are disproportionately affected by it. Help us spread the word about how to create an HIV/AIDS-free generation.

Share Knowledge. Take Action.

This year on March 10, we’re asking people to share knowledge and take action.

We want every woman and girl to know how to protect herself — and her loved ones — from the disease. We want more women and girls to learn about prevention of HIV and to get tested. We want them to get the care they need, if they test positive. And we want every community to promote prevention and treatment for all women and girls.

Join the Cause

We are seeking local, state, and national organizations to host events and activities, both online and in person. You will have the power to:

  • Educate others
  • Promote women’s health
  • Shape the future for women and girls

We’ll provide the facts and the tools to support you at every step. If you are planning to host an event, we want to know about it! Please email us today so we can help you get started.

Stay Tuned

In a future email, we will share specific steps you can take to participate on March 10. We will include links to resources and tools, including event-planning guides, Web badges, poster graphics, social media language, and more.

We look forward to working with you to make this year’s awareness day a big success!
