Internships / Mentoring 

  • HHS/National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Eye Institute (NEI): Diversity In Vision Research and Ophthalmology (DIVRO) Summer Internship Program. NEI seeks to increase the number of African-American, Latino, and Native American scientists in vision research by promoting career development opportunities. Deadline is March 1, 2015. Learn more.
  • HHS/NIH, National Cancer Institute (NCI): Health Communications Internship Program (HCIP). Six-month and one-year internships offered to graduate students and recent graduates interested in health communications or science writing. Deadline is March 3, 2015. Learn more.
  • American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO): ASCO Diversity Mentoring Program. This program seeks to educate minority physicians-in-training about careers in oncology by fostering relationships with experienced oncology professionals who can provide career and educational guidance. Deadline is March 17, 2015. Scholarships / Fellowships

  • HHS/OMH, Office of the Director: Health Equity Fellowship - Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE). Under the guidance and mentorship of the Deputy Director, the selected participant will provide research, writing and technical support to implement OMH’s policies, programs, and strategic priorities. Loan Repayment

  • HHS/HRSA: NURSE Corps Loan Repayment Program. To be eligible, applicants must be licensed registered nurses or nurse faculty, have completed training, and be employed full time at an eligible critical shortage facility. Deadline is February 26, 2015. Learn more.

  • HHS/NIH Clinical Center and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD): Kisspeptin Doses in Postmenopausal Women (Study 13-CH-0139). This study is currently recruiting female volunteers to participate in research on the role of kisspeptin on hormone production in the body.
