  • American Medical Association (AMA)/Commission to End Health Care Disparities: Request for Proposals (RFP) from non-academic ambulatory clinical practices that collect and use patient-level (race, ethnicity and preferred language) data within their electronic health records (EHR).   • Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS): Native American Library Services - Basic Grants.   • HHS/National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Eye Institute (NEI): Diversity In Vision Research and Ophthalmology (DIVRO) Summer Internship Program.   • University of Mississippi/Medical Center: HBCU Programs to Increase Diversity Among Individuals Engaged in Health Related Research (PRIDE) Summer Research Training Institute. All-expense-paid research career advancement opportunity for early career faculty and transitioning post-doctoral fellows who are underrepresented in biomedical research.   • Policy Research, Inc: The Disability Determination Process (DDP) Small Grant Program. Awarded to graduate-level students to conduct supervised independent research on improving the Disability Determination Process for the Social Security Administration (SSA)'s disability programs – Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). Scholarships / Fellowships

  • HHS/OMH, Office of the Director: Health Equity Fellowship - Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE). Under the guidance and mentorship of the Deputy Director, the selected participant will provide research, writing and technical support to implement OMH’s policies, programs, and strategic priorities. Loan Repayment

  • HHS/HRSA: NURSE Corps Loan Repayment Program. To be eligible, applicants must be licensed registered nurses or nurse faculty, have completed training, and be employed full time at an eligible critical shortage facility. Deadline is February 26, 2015. Learn more.

February 15 is the last day to enroll in health coverage. If people miss that deadline, they will likely have to wait to sign up for coverage until the next open enrollment season, with coverage starting in 2016. In the final days of enrollment for 2015, here’s what you need to know:

  • Financial help is available. Eight out of 10 current consumers can find coverage for $100 or less a month with tax credits through the Marketplace.
  • It’s easier than ever. The consumer experience at HealthCare.gov is simpler, faster and more intuitive.
  • Local help is available. Consumers can find in person help through Localhelp.healthcare.gov or by calling the Marketplace Call Center at 1-800-318-2596 (TTY users should call 1-855-889-4325).

  • Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF): Survey. 7th Annual Nationwide Nonprofit State of the Sector Survey. This survey collects data on challenges and trends among nonprofits. Clinical Trials

  • HHS/NIH Clinical Center and the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK): Diabetes and Heart Disease Risk in Blacks (Study 99-DK-0002). Researchers will determine whether there is a relationship between sex and body size and the incidence of heart disease in African American men and women. This study is currently recruiting women and men born in Africa, 18-65 years old. Compensation will be provided. Study to be conducted at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, MD. Learn more
